What we believe . .

One God, Three Persons

We believe that there is only one true God who is the eternal King, Creator and Redeemer of all that is.  He is perfectly holy, just, loving and truthful.  He lives eternally in three persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

The Bible

We believe in the divine inspiration and supreme authority of the Old and New Testament Scriptures, which are the written word of God – fully trustworthy for faith and conduct.

Humankind

We believe that humankind was created in the image of God to know and enjoy Him, to love, to be holy and to care for creation. Yet we were affected by sin and so experience its consequences and effects.

Jesus

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary; truly divine and truly human, yet without sin.

The Cross

We believe that the victorious, redemptive work of Christ on the cross, and his resurrection, provide freedom from the consequences of sin and restore our relationship with Father God.

Salvation

We are saved by God’s grace and moreover we have access to a loving relationship with Him as Father, through faith in Jesus.

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is continuing the work He started at Pentecost, empowering believers to live a godly life and continue in all the works of Jesus.

The church

We believe that the Church consists of all who put their faith in Jesus Christ and exists to worship God and be the channels of His transforming love in this world.

The Return of Christ

We believe in the personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to fulfil the purposes of God and reveal the eternal destinies of all humankind, whether eternal death or eternal life.
